Onboard Client
1. Create a Client MANDATORY
Section titled “1. Create a Client MANDATORY”Provide Company Information
Section titled “Provide Company Information”- Legal Country: Select the legal country for the company. We strongly recommend that you provide a valid legal country but if this information is unavailable, you can select
"Other".The legal country code is used in several places, but some examples are:- When performing credit lookups against the client.
- Fallback when determining the standard language for the client. “Preferred language” value will override this value.
- Distributions via E-invoice to validate sending party.
- Whether Quiddly adds VAT to the fees it charges the client. VAT is added only when the legal country is the same as the country your instance runs in. For any other legal country the fees are charged without VAT.
- The default VAT rate when the client creates invoices to its own customers: 25.5 percent for Finland and 25 percent for other countries. It is only a suggestion and can be changed on each invoice row.
- Contract Currency: Select the currency in which the contract with the client is defined. A good rule of thumb is to check the currency used in the commercial part of your agreement with the client. The contract currency is used in several places but some examples are:
- All prices for the client is set in the contract currency.
- Ledger overview in the “Client Portal” will be displayed in the contract currency.
- Global financing limits are defined in the contract currency.
- Entity: Select which of your entities the client should belong to. This applies only if you are running Quiddly with multiple entities.
- Identification Number: Provide the legal identification number for the company. If valid for the selected “Legal Country,” Quiddly will attempt to fetch additional information based on the identification number and pre-fill the fields. The number is checked only when the legal country is Sweden, Norway or Finland; for any other legal country, including “Other”, it is accepted as entered. Quiddly does not require the number to be unique, so the same company can be registered as two clients, and the two are told apart by client ID. Do not enter a made-up number: credit lookups, e-invoice distribution, ERP integrations and the documents Quiddly generates all use it.
- Name, Address, Address 2, Zip, City: Provide the necessary company information to create a client.
- Client Phone Number: Provide a valid phone number to contact the client.
- Client Email: Provide a valid e-mail that you will use to contact the client. This will also be the user name for the first client user.

- Customer-facing Email: Provide an email address for the debtor to contact the client.

Select a Client Template
Section titled “Select a Client Template”- This step is optional. If you have a registry of predefined “Client Templates,” you can select one to use for the created client. A client with a custom payment reference setting, or a client in Norway, can get a different length, which matters if you validate the length of incoming payments.

Select NO if a positive on a single client account is enough to generate a payout. YES is the default. The balances of all the client’s fund accounts (business loan accounts excluded) are converted to the local currency at the current system exchange rates and added together. - Press [Save]
Recurring fees: when the first charge is created
Section titled “Recurring fees: when the first charge is created”Recurring fees (Financing limit fee, Subscription fee, Credit Lookup Fee and Dedicated payment account) are created by a job that runs once every night, at 02:30 system time. On each run it creates the charge for every fee whose Start date and Period fall on that day. A yearly fee is created on the same month and day every year, from the year of the start date.
- If you save the fee on the start day itself and the nightly run has already passed, that day’s charge is not created. The first charge then comes at the next occurrence, a year later for Period Year. Save the fee before the start day, or set a start date in the future.
- The charge is created independently of any invoice being activated. It is billed only when charges are billed in the daily routines (Daily Routines > Charges > Bill).
- A fee is created only if its price is above zero, it is in the price list in the client’s contract currency, the product is enabled on the client, and the client is not disabled.
- A fee needs a Start date unless its Period is Day. A fee copied from a client template has no start date, so set it on the client.
